Welcome to Peebles FC - Season 2010/11

Peebles started off by defeating Selkirk 3-1 before thumping the hosts 5- 0 and in the final game a Dillon Rice hatrick helped defeat Kelso 6-1. A great way for the boys to start the new season. In their third game Peebles probably deserved the victory as they created more clear cut chances but with the Merchiston goalie making some great saves the Peebles team had to endure a nervous last 10 minutes. Peebles u16s versus Beeslack ThistleSubmitted by Fergus on Thu, 19/08/2010 - 21:22.Peebles u16 had their second game of the season away to Beeslack on Wednesday. The boys had played Beeslack just 10 days earlier in a friendly as part of the pre-season and had lost 3-2 in an entertaining game. Wednesday's game was just as entertiaing and sadly for Peebles had the same scoreline. However, if ever a match could be described as a game of two halves then this was surely it. In the first-half Peebles let Beeslack dominate the game with a very poor showing and they were lucky to concede just two goals. Only two players stood out, Will Jackson in goa Peebles u16 tough start against Haddington ColtsSubmitted by Fergus on Tue, 17/08/2010 - 22:40.Peebles u16s new look squad had their first competitive match on Sunday against Haddington Colts at Whitestone Park. The 7-1 victory for the Colts didn't fully reflect the performance by the Peebles team as they competed well for the majority of the match. Haddington egded out Peebles 2-1 in the first half but that was not the whole story. Haddington scored within the first minute without Peebles so much as touching the ball. However the boys soon warmed up and within 10 minutes had equalised with a rasping shot from their captian Joe Lothian |
